Expat medical insurance news: Copenhagen named Europe's greenest city

Copenhagen has been named the greenest city in Europe, a fitting award for Denmark's capital, the host of the United Nations climate change summit.
The city was named Europe's greenest by Siemens after the electronics giant carried out an assessment of 30 major regional destinations.
Cities were marked in eight categories covering aspects such as CO2 emissions, air quality and energy usage. While Copenhagen came out on top, Stockholm, Oslo, Vienna and Amsterdam also performed strongly, with Kiev, Sofia, Bucharest, Belgrade and Zagreb named the least environmentally friendly cities in Europe.
Individuals considering a move to Denmark may also be encouraged to know the country was also named 'the happiest place on earth' in a 2006 study.
The claim was made by University of Leicester scientist Adrian White, author of the first ever world map of happiness. More than 80,000 people were included in the study and were asked to score their place of residence in areas such as healthcare provision, education and prosperity.
