Bahrain holds a steady commitment to making life easier for expats settling in the Middle Eastern country, it has been claimed.
Kamal Ahmed, chief operating officer of the Bahrain Economic Development Board, said that as well as providing excellent business conditions for foreign companies, the country also offers strong support to help expats feel at home.
Comments from the executive followed the results of the 2009 HSBC Bank International Expat Experience survey, which placed Bahrain in fifth position in the overall quality of life rankings, while it also scored highly in making it easy for expats to find somewhere to live, make friends and set up utilities and school arrangements.
"This report shows that Bahrain is not just the ideal location to do business in and from, but a great place to live as well," said Mr Ahmed.
Canada came out on top of the 2009 Expat Experience poll, with Australia and Thailand taking second and third position.
