Expat insurance customers 'should consider Turkey'

13/03/09 10:48

Those considering moving abroad and taking out expatriate insurance policies should consider relocating to Turkey, it has been claimed.

Experts have suggested that the country is an attractive destination for people looking to live overseas on a budget, reports the Daily Mail.

According to Stephen Hughes, director at Foreign Currency Direct, there has been a 36 per cent increase in the number of Britons wanting to change sterling to lira.

Julian Walker, a real estate professional specialising in Turkish property, said there are also a number of lifestyle attractions for expatriate healthcare insurance customers.

He said Turkey offers low living costs as well as a warm climate, which enables expats to spend more time outside.

Liam Bailey of Write About Property recently recommended Turkish property because the day-to-day expenses in the country are low compared to the UK and eurozone nations.
