Expat Medical Insurance News: Jakarta resident 'no typical Aussie expat'

A social worker in Jakarta has wholly embraced the Indonesian way of life since moving to the country with her husband.
Speaking to the Jakarta Post, Marilyn Ardipradja, an Australian-born expat who moved to Indonesia 34 years ago, said that she has come to love the country enormously and is committed heavily to helping her local community.
In addition to providing food for the elderly, she also helps to sustain an educational programme to keep young children in school.
"I think the absolute most important thing is to try to give something back, especially in a place like this where there is such a need," she told the paper.
Ms Ardipradja added that Indonesia has changed a lot since she first moved to the country, with foreign expats a much more common sight these days.
