Expat Medical Insurance News: European expats concerned about pension

A survey of expats living in Europe has shown that only 15 per cent are satisfied with their pension arrangements.
According to travel portal Expatica, concerns about pension benefits outweighed other considerations such as labour market policies and social welfare systems, both of which scored a satisfaction rating in excess of 40 per cent.
One expat living in the Netherlands explained that the country only offers pension benefits to those who have lived in the country since their 15th birthday.
"I moved here when I was 29, so I will automatically lose 28 percent of my pension benefits," she claimed, adding that her husband, although originally from Holland, is in a similar position because he lived in the UK for an extended period.
