Expat Medical Insurance News: Bangkok offers 'incredible quality' Indian cuisine

28/01/10 14:10

Thailand's capital offers an array of Indian eateries catering to all budgets, but for a truly exceptional meal, it is worth looking at the high-end restaurants, it has been claimed.

In a special report on Bangkok's Indian cuisine, CNN Go identified the Rang Mahal restaurant, situated on the top floor of the Rembrandt Hotel, as one of the classiest Indian restaurants in the capital.

"Rang Mahal's menu is typical Northern Indian cuisine. You'll find everything from meats off the Indian tandoor to curries like lamb rogan josh and traditional desserts like gulab jamun," the travel site noted.

Meanwhile, for those dining on a budget, it may be worth heading to Pahurat, an area known as Bangkok's 'little India' which bustles with canteen-style restaurants and street vendors serving up dishes from across the subcontinent.

For those planning a permanent move to Bangkok, Orient Expat reports that the country has a solid healthcare infrastructure, although service may be patchy in rural areas.

An expat medical insurance policy may provide peace of mind that all necessary procedures will be covered in the event of accident or injury.
