Expat Health Insurance News: Property going cheap in Spain
19/02/10 13:00
The property market price crash witnessed in Spain has left a lot of undervalued real estate up for grabs, according to Spanish Property Insight.
Mark Stucklin, head of the property advice portal, explained that while the market is likely to remain depressed this year, canny buyers will be able to snap up some excellent deals.
However, he recommended exercising caution in choosing when to buy, as currency fluctuations will have a dramatic impact on profitability.
Furthermore, he added that with the market depressed, premium properties will be the best bet.
"Just go for prime. Ignore all the rest. Try to get the best location, best views, good quality in designs at really great prices," Mr Stucklin advised.
Those planning a move to Spain may also do well to research expat health insurance policies, as there may be limits to their entitlement to free healthcare in regions such as Valencia, which has recently introduced a ban on care for early-retiree expats.
