Expat Health Insurance News: Australia 'provides good employment opportunities'

Young people thinking of relocating abroad to find work could do worse than taking up the expatriate lifestyle and finding employment in Australia, the country's official tourism board has suggested.

At a time when many young adults are being affected by the aftermath of the global financial downturn, Rodney Harrex of Tourism Australia posited that jobs Down Under can be easy to come by.

Entering the country on the Australian Working Holiday Visa may be a good step for young people to take, he said.

"Those who take a much more flexible approach to finding work in Australia and are willing to try different jobs will almost certainly have a richer travelling experience," Mr Harrex noted, adding that prospective expats may pick up some unexpected life skills by trying their hand at something they would never have considered in their home country.

Individuals who decide to relocate to Australia should ensure they have expatriate medical insurance as the country's national health system may not cover them for expensive treatment.
