Dubai will again attract overseas expatriate investment
05/06/09 18:28
Mike Bridge, organiser of the Worldwide Property Show, has said that despite current problems, Dubai's property market will recover.
Investment from outside of the emirates will return, he says, because the region has the required infrastructure.
"With prices dropping, the fact the a lot of the infrastructure is in place, [as well as having] some of the biggest and nicest hotels in the world here they're not going to disappear - and the weather, I think all those add up to the fact that people will be coming back into the market from overseas."
According to research by property companies, trade in overseas property in the region is still good.
Primelocation.com reported recently that 14 per cent more people were looking for properties in March this year, compared with the same month last year.
In related news, hoteliers in the region were advised they could benefit from recruiting expatriates as people from outside the region could add experience.
