Croatia set to get a larger expatriate community

More people are expected to move abroad to Croatia and become an expatriate following a change in the country's legislation.
From this month an expatriate will be able to buy property in the country with the same rights as Croatian citizens, removing much of the existing administrative burden.
One expert predicts that the changes could lead to a stream of investors buying up properties in the Adriatic country.
Dan Johnson, managing director themovechannel.com, commented: "These new changes look to drastically alter the second home and investment market in the country.
"Those seeking a holiday home are drawn mainly to the coast, for the stunning views and strong rental potential."
He added that while investors could look forward to their property rising in price, the cost of living in Croatia was likely to remain low.
