Cape Verde 'is ideal' for the exotic expatriate

People who want to move abroad may like to consider joining the expatriate community in Cape Verde because it is similar to the Caribbean, claims a travel writer.
David Else, Lonely Planet author, said that people were attracted to the exotic islands because they offered a mix of Portuguese, African and Brazilian style atmosphere.
"The most popular attractions are the beaches, long clean beautiful and warm beaches. It's been described as the hidden Caribbean," he said.
According to BuyAssociation, Cape Verde is attractive to potential expatriates because its housing market is better value for money compared to the Canary Islands.
BuyAssociation revealed in its Buying Guide that property prices in Cape Verde have increased by nearly 20 per cent during 2006 and that the average price for a two-bedroom apartment is £79,500.
Cape Verde is taking part in the One UN pilot scheme which aims to meet anti-poverty targets by 2015 which were announced in the Millennium Development Goals.
