British expats in France say French are sexier

British expatriates who live in France say the French people are sexier.

A poll that revealed why Brits still like to move to France has made a few interesting discoveries and both sexes were perceived to have more Va, Va, Voom.

According to the research 71 per cent of both men and women thought French women were sexier than British ladies, while more than half the Brits polled thought they were better dressed and 92 per cent said they were thinner.

French men also received much praise - nearly six in ten Brits said they too were sexier and better dressed.

However, when it comes to having a laugh British expatriates preferred their own humour and found their new neighbours somewhat lacking.

Perhaps most important is the discovery that since moving to an expatriate lifestyle 87 per cent of Brits feel happier and a stunning 97 per cent said they get more exercise and feel healthier.

Michael Streeter, editor of expat monthly TheFrenchPaper, noted: "One of the main reasons Brits move to France is because it's a place where a sense of community still truly exists. There is time to chat and reflect on life."

The French also like coming to the UK - according to the Office for National Statistics 15,000 French people settle in the UK each year.ADNFCR-1788-ID-19193692-ADNFCR
