British expatriates in China must take a week off

British expatriates living in China who return from the UK have to take a week off from work as a precaution against swine flu, reports the Telegraph.
The Chinese authorities already have strict medical checks for visitors and people who are staying on long-term visas.
China was at the centre of international criticism for its handling of the Sars epidemic two years ago and was accused of underreporting the virus' spread.
It is not just business people who are affected by the country's strict immigration controls - British schoolchildren are also currently in quarantine.
The Chinese embassy said: "We can confirm that a group of over 85 British schoolchildren and teachers are being held in quarantine in a hotel in Beijing."
Two further groups of children have also been taken to the hotel, bringing the total to more than 100.
Experts from Imperial College London, citing a French study, have reportedly suggested that actively closing schools in the UK could reduce the spread of the virus by as much as 13 per cent.
