British Expats see cheap flights cut

Brits expecting to take cheap flights out to their new expatriate homes may have to look for another airline - Ryanair has said it will cut its winter flight schedule.
The budget airline is to lower the number of passengers it takes out of Britain and will reduce departures from Stansted by 30 per cent.
As part of the cost-cutting exercise, the Irish airline will lessen connections to 30 destinations and do away with ten routes completely.
Chief executive Michael O'Leary says the announcement is in protests at plans to increase air passenger duty and the cost of landing fees.
Mr O'Leary said his move to reduce flights highlights "the urgent need to break-up the high cost BAA airport monopoly".
The Ryanair boss has courted controversy before. It was widely reported he was considering charging people for each time they used the toilet while in flight.
"It's one of those things that when Michael starts looking at something, you know, it's always up for discussion," commented the airline's PR chief, Steven McNamara.
